Deficit Compass is designed to work without an account, profile, or server-side health record.
Calculator inputs and results are processed by JavaScript in your browser. Deficit Compass does not submit those values to an application database and does not store a user profile.
When you use “Share result,” the calculator values are encoded in the link so the recipient can restore the same result. Anyone with that URL can read those values. Do not share a result link if you do not want its values disclosed.
Deficit Compass uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate page visits, referrers, countries, browsers, and device types. The analytics configuration removes query strings before a page view is sent, so values in shared calculator links are not included in analytics URLs.
Vercel may process a timestamp, path, referrer, approximate location, browser, operating system, and device category. Deficit Compass does not send names, email addresses, calculator inputs, or custom health-data events.
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel may process request metadata needed to deliver and secure the service. Review Vercel's privacy policy for its practices.
